2 weeks here & haven’t seen mountainsCountry forums / Indian Subcontinent / Nepal
I have been here two weeks & it’s been hazy the whole time. Granted I have only been in Kathmandhu, Bhaktapur & Trekking around Dhading District and now Bandipur. I am not a big trekker (ie not in grey shape but healthy) and it’s the end of February and still a bit chilly. So with these barriers, does anyone have any suggestions for places to visit in the next week that may help me see the mountains? Thanks for your time!
Pokhara is about as close to mountains you can get without long hard trekking. Get up at the crack of dawn. I've had some lovely views recently. https://asiajottings.wordpress.com | 1
Thanks Paul :-) Maybe I will buzz up there next! | 2
PS Paul I just looked at your pictures & they are inspiring. Thank you! | 3
Mountain Flight ! | 4 | |
Your welcome :) but before you make the long bus trip, the weather here has been misty the past few days. | 5
No views from Bandipur viewpoint? Unlucky. Might have to trek (Poon Hill, min 3 days).... | 6
Go to Pokhara and do the Poon hill trek! Get up for sunrise every morning and if you are lucky with the weather, you should see the stunning Annapurna mountains! | 7
