More than a question this might be a response.
The PTY airport is recently growing and lacking some services, yet a lot of people don't seem to know that there is a locker sort of service to leave your bags in the airport here's a quick guide.
In Tocumen Airport Panama there is a place called
Consigna de equipage (Baggage storage - Consignee - I do not know its service hours)
It is on the lower level, near the arrivals area. To reach it you would have to pass thru immigration and costumes…
16/02/2015 I’m back from the Brazilian Pantanal, feeding Caimans and Eagles on a Boattrip and spotting countless animals along the road. The area around the capital of Brasilia is next for me, but…
My husband and I are traveling to Panama next week and will be there for 11 nights. The weather online looks like nothing but rain and thunderstorms, so would love to hear from someone there what kind of daily weather patterns you are experiencing. Are you getting any clearing, any sunshine? Anyone know what parts of the country/beaches are best for weather this time of year?
Any tips are much appreciated!
As I am having a overnight at Tocumen airport next week, would really appreciate if anyone knows has experiences with sleeping at this airport.
Additional fact is that the flights are not connected. So I would arrive at 9pm with one air operator, but would fly out the next morning at 6am with another. Which means I woud be having my check in luggage with me.
I am familiar with PTY set up, so my question is, can I sleep at the airport in my case too, so after picking up the luggage…
My name is Olivia, and I'm a college student who has been doing a semester abroad in Barranquilla, Colombia. I am planning a week trip to Panama after my program ends here in Colombia, as I'm relatively close on the coast. My flights is round trip in and out of Panama City. I was just wondering some recommendations you guys might have on an itinerary? I would like to spend 2-3 days in Panama City, but I'm open to going other places as well. I just need to be back in Panama City by the end…
I will arrive in Panama City 2 June 2015 and spend 5 weeks in Panama before heading over to Costa Rica for another month. 5 days later, 7 June 2015 I need to be in Bocas del Toro for a 3-week Spanish course. Right now I am trying to plan these 5 days, considering, that after the Spanish course I will still have around 10 days to spend in Panama.
I was thinking about staying one day (3 June) in Panama City before heading to the San Blas islands (4 June) - I really really want to go…
me and my husband are planning to come to Panama next summer, and we'd like to make a vacation in San Blas region.
Our idea is to spend some 3-4 days in Nubesidub (Dove Island) and other 3-4 days in another islands, possibly in Lemon Cays or Holandes Cays, similar to Nubesidup, i.e ok for couples or families that want to stay away from crowded islands.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks a lot!
I have plans to work/volunteer in Panama for about 6 months, and then travel around afterwards. I would like to come in on a one way ticket, but Panama is fairly strict about showing proof of onward travel it seems. Since I will be working for 6 months, I will need to make a border run as soon as this is done - but don't want to head back to the states so fast so that I will have time to explore the country once I'm done working. Anyone have some advice on how to enter the country without…
So after a lot of reading and considerations I have landed on going to Panama and Costa Rica for one month in July. Nicaragua seems tempting, but travel-time and airfare is longer and higher than Panama-Costa Rica. I do want to spend some most of the time with access to the beach (not that I will spend all my…
My girlfriend (Marianne) and I are going to Panama this summer, from the 12th of July 'till the 11th of August. This will be our first big trip together and we are planning to make it a great trip. We want to start in the Darién, but we want to book it before we go (we want to go on the first morning). We looked on the internet and in the lonely planet, but all we found were trips from $800+. My cousin went a few years ago to Panama and made a few pictures of tours at 'Luna's…
