I will land in Auckland and I have about 3 days for trekking or 2,5 day for walking before I go back to the city. What would you recommend?
I like mountains and I would like to do continuous trekking sleping in a hut or in a tent. I like views on mountain tops, so walking in the forest all the time is not for me.
I thought about Coromandel Forest Park but I am not sure if this is a good idea.
Can you give me some advice?
The great news is that my husband wants to take me anywhere in the world I want to go for my 50th birthday next year. The bad news is deciding where I want to go...so I come to you for your thoughts on my ideas. I'll only have 2 weeks time and I do know that travel time has to be taken into consideration. We will be traveling from the United States. Based on my example please let me know this is doable in 2 weeks and if you have suggestions in the areas/region. Thank you so much I appreciate any…
Does NZ has rideshare or carpool service like blablacar in EU?
What is the most economical way of traveling around without advanced booking?
Thanks in advance for your help.
I am looking for some advice for travelling the south island of NZ. I am a single mum travelling with an adventurous 10 yo. We are flying into and out of queenstown for 2 weeks June/ July. We have booked to ski for 5 days out of queenstown but just wondering if anyone has any other suggestions/ advice for the rest of the trip. Thank-you!!
we are going to Christchurch area in October and want to rent a car from the airport for a week.
We would like to get on the road straight away (would like to do all the paper work and pick up the car at the airprot and not have to take a shuttle to a depot in the city) .... and likewise, on return we would like to drop it off at the airport but at a very early hour (before 7am)
does anyone know any reasonably priced companies that do everything at the airport?
thanks in advance

I am from India and new to travelling career and always aspired to travel the world.
Pardon me if my grammer is wrong in places.
I have few friends, travellers and among them one inspired me to start travelling from Cambodia and she like to help with the initial funding. I am just concerned since I don't want to end up just going to South Asia- Cambodia and coming back. Since I heard a lot about travellers who work along side the travel. Be it telecommute or odd jobs or…
Hi folks. Going to do a 10 day driving holiday on the south island in October. Flying in and out of Christchurch. Thinking about starting off easy by catching a bus...or the more expensive train.. from Christchurch to Greymouth. So relaxing on the first day before I rent a car in Greymouth and start driving. I'll be solo. (and I'll rent the car online ahead of time)
Not a real dilemma but just interested in any opinions.
I'm planning a 10 day trip to Bay of Islands / Northland and wondering if it's advisable to have someone else traveling with me to help navigate, etc.... I've never been to this region before, and not sure if it will be difficult to find petrol stations, etc., whether google map's driving distances are accurate, and whether there's mobile coverage in places off the tourist path. Should I consider bringing someone along (for saftey, ease of navigation, etc.)?
