Mathura - boat trip with children worth visiting at dawn on way to Agra?

Hi,

We are visiting Rajasthan for 18 days early April - not enough time to get down to Varanasi, although I would love to. I was hoping for some opinions on whether stopping at Mathura on the way Agra would be worthwhile - my main aim being to see the ghats from a boat ride and seeing somewhere very differnet from elsewhere in Rajasthan. I think we will see a lot of temples on the rest of our trip and my reservation is that we have two young children (4 and 1) and trying not to pack in too…

Anyone in Jaipur on the 5th and 6th of March for Holi festival?

Hey there!

I will most likely be in Jaipur on the 5th (afternoon+evening) and 6th of March, to enjoy the Holi festival, and do some sightseeing on the side.
I would love to enjoy the festival with other travelers. One, because that's way more fun than going around by myself and two, because it's safer with more than one. I will probably have a driver/guide take me there, but rather meet other travelers!

Let me know!

I started my journey from Kochi at 05:00am and reached Wayanad by 1:30pm. I stayed in a resort, which was located, a few…

Holi - 2015

I've been told there are major differences between Holi celebrations in Mathura and Jaipur, but I haven't been able to find out the specific differences. Can anybody provide details or refer me to somewhere online to get that information? Anyone recommend the celebration in one place over the other for a foreign visitor, and why? Thanks.

Do I need a transit visa

Help please. I can't seem to find the answer anywhere. I am travelling to Nepal from the UK on a UK passport and I will be changing flights in Delhi from an emirates flight to a air india flight. I have checked if they code share and it is not on the Emirates list. Do I need a transit visa? I will not be leaving the airport. I have rang Emirates and they said to contact the Indian Embassy which I have emailed and am waiting a response. Thanks
