I'm not entirely sure what this is about - a documentary, a television series?

A place where races, religions, languages and cultures merge to form a unique melting pot of diversity. A country quickly climbing the ranks as a superpower. But what makes India truly incredible? We set on a journey to find out. A journey to meet the people who make up the essential fabric of the country. People who we see every day, but rarely meet.

Anyway, a number of short teaser/trailers for your viewing…

Does anyone have thoughts/recommendations about visiting Mechuka? I only hear about its scenic beauty.

The route from Along to Ziro, through Daporijo, also is touted for its scenery. Is there more of interest?

Does anyone have experience taking the Along-Bame-Likabari route?

Thanks.

I've heard rumors that buying bottled water in India is unsafe, as vendors will sometimes sell tap water packaged as purified water. Is this a serious concern in India (particularly Rajastahn), and if so, what's the best way to get actually safe, purified water? Is it worth bringing something like a steripen for insurance, or is that unnecessary?

Hey all

I'm planning to visit India in early August for 3 months and I'm hoping to get my visa sorted soon. i thought India Visa would be simple.
So, where and how is the easiest way.
I'm currently in NZ but over the next 2 months I will be in Australia, Singapore, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, so these are where I could visit embassies, etc. I'm a British citizen, but some websites say I need to apply from home country, where others say otherwise. Help!

On a side note, my parents are visiting In

I m helpless at the moment. I m looking for a not soo touristic place close to the beach where I can join Yoga classes and swimming. Where locals and foreingners are together.
Not in Goa, not in Kovalam, not in Verkala and also not too isolated.
How is it around Mahé? Kannur? Kasaragod?
Do you have any recommendations? I have no idea.
Thank you very much for your help.

Hi everyone,

I'm starting a job in a school in Greater Noida in August, after a week or so in Delhi. I'll be in Greater Noida & surrounding area for about 4 months, until late December. I've looked up Uttar Pradesh and there seems to be quite a high risk of JE and malaria, however I'm not sure if this is the case all year round, and whether the fact that Greater Noida is just outside the NCR means that it's quite different to UP generally.

Would you advise getting the JE vaccine and/or…

We have a 2 week trip to India, starting next week! I'll spend 5-6 days in Delhi and then probably Jaipur with my boyfriend, before I head North alone. My question is, is it best to just go straight to Manali since I only have a week - will do a few days trekking, then a day rock climbing, maybe a hike, etc? Or, is it sad to only see Manali?

I was also very interested in Rishikesh - for yoga mostly, but also because many people love it. But in looking at pictures it doesn't look very…

Hi

We are a mid 20's couple visiting Hampi for the first time in early January, hoping to get some advice on whereabouts to stay in Hampi?. Most of the nice places I have seen are in anegundi and virupapur gadi but not sure if it would be more convenient to stay in Hampi bazaar or Hospet. We will be getting the train there so should arrive around 4 or 5pm but may leave around 6-7am a few days later. What time do the boats from anegundi and virupapur gadi to hampi bazaar start and finish?
