Don't know why it took me so long to post this but better late than never! Hubby and I spent almost a month in Iceland last year (July 2014) and LOVED it. We rented a Suzuki Jimny 4X4 which was perfect for exploring. Our itinerary was to make our way around ring road in a counter-clockwise route. Iceland's annual camping card is quite possibly the country's best bargain...for the cost of one night at a hotel, we had unlimited camping at 44 camp sites throughout the island. The camp sites were…

Hi!

My girlfriend and I are going to be going via RV (Motorhome with bathroom/bed/etc)on the ring road from May 26th (starting at 9AM) to June 1st (ending at 5:00PM).

We will start by the Keflavik Airport and want to go counter-clockwise, ending on our last day with a few hours in Reykjavik.

We want to split up the Golden Circle and do some on the beginning and some on the end of the trip. (For example we want to do things like Hverageroi and Kerio on the way out and things lie…

Car Rental

Two Gals travelling Iceland for just over a week! Looking to leave Reykjavik On June 2nd on our little expedition through the Golden circle and then to the westfjords for camping, hiking and adventuring! We will be driving, but we will not be hosteling or bnb-ing. We will be camping the whole time. We are looking to get a four seater! With equipment we can probably fit one other person. Three people in the car would ensure a very reasonably priced trip! Msg ASAP if you're interested! One of us…

Im looking for adventurous people to join me in a life experience circling Iceland by bike. I have tickets for the 5th of July until the 29 of the same month. I am a 27 y.o Chilean male who was just studying a masters degree in Groningen, The Netherlands.

Im an open guy, willing to change plans according to the opportunities the journey presents and have quite a lot of experience in traveling throughout nature, not so much in a bike though.

Let me know if you are interested at sebastianhudson

I'm going to be ready and raring to go from Reykjavik on the morning of the 7th (June) and I have to be Varmahlid by midday on the 9th, does anybody have any suggestions of where I should spend a couple of nights inbetween? I would love to see the North West highlands but I don't want to spend most of this small amount of time on a bus (I am relying on public transport) so I was thinking of somewhere along the route. I would like to be able to hike on the 8th, but apart from that, anywhere…

Greetings LP!
I hope this question is not totally off base, but...
We will be visiting Iceland this summer during the month of July - is there any surf at that time? Are there any surf shops where someone could rent a board? My husband and son surf here in Northern California and would love to try and catch a few when we are there. Any info/advice is greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Mary

Will be traveling from Reykjavik to Vik to Hofn back to Westman Islands to Snaefellsjoekull National Park back to Reykjavik at the end of August.

Interested in:

1) The best horse trekking experience (for intermediate riders) that includes beautiful green scenery/beach trek for @ 2-3 hours.

2) The best kayaking experience (for intermediate paddlers) that includes beautiful scenery for @ 2-3 hours.

Thanks!

Hello,

My wife and I are staying in Reykjavik for a couple days and looking to keep costs as low as possible. What are our cheapest options for getting out of town for 6-10 hours to see something nature or wildlife related, on the cheap? We are totally cool and welcome adventure but are not too keen on hitchhiking.

My ideas thus far:

-Rent a car (Best price I can find is $79 USD per day and then we have to pay for gas, so not going to be cheapest option)
-6 Hour Guided Bus Tour of Golden…
