Hi

I'm looking at going on an Island Peak expedition next year. I'm looking for any information that nay help in choosing when to go and who with.

There seems to be 2 seasons available, Spring or Autumn, any pros cons for either?

So far I've looked into Jagged Globe and Adventure Peaks to travel with. Both seem very good, main differences being slightly different itineraries and one uses tents for the whole tour and the other uses tea houses and tents for high camp only?

Any advice, thoughts…

Hi,

I am leaving on Saturday the 28th for 30 days on Java and then 30 days in Malaysia Peninsula. I want to learn outdoor rock climbing from scratch, and I have no prior experience. Until now, I have read that Siung Beach in Java is a good place to learn how to climb. In Malaysia Peninsula I have heard that Batu Caves is the place to go. But I am very open to other locations on Java and Malaysian Peninsula.

Can anyone propose companies in both locations that does introductionary courses to…

Hi all,

We are looking for a trek/Hike to do with our two daughters.
we need a good weather on october and a maximum altitude of 3000meters (10000 feet).
In addition a possibility to have a Porter is an advantage. Europe is a good destination but also Asia / US/ Central America is a possibility.

Thanks,

Visiting china for the first time in mid to late September. Originally thought to do the typical cities but am not sure now. Love to hike/camp and love the thought of staying in remote guesthouses, etc. I can do about 18 days. Any suggestions for itineraries? Perhaps a mix of both city and countryside? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi all,

I'm Apoorv from Bengaluru, India. I'm planning the Mera Peak trek in Nepal from mid to end September this year. I'm in talks with guides and Sherpas and have a good idea of the planning bit as my friends did it this year in May. I am looking out for co-travellers for the trek so thought I'll just post here. The exact trip dates are: 13th-28th September. Please let me know if you're up to it. Feel free to contact me here if you need more details.
