Where can I get a Primus Omnifuel for the least cash?Interest forums / Trekking & Mountaineering
I'm in the UK and want to buy a Primus Omnifuel stove. The cheapest price I've seen so far is £90 (including fuel bottle). Anyone seen a better price over here? Also I've noticed it seems to be a fair bit cheaper stateside, so an alternative is to get one mailed accross the Atlantic. Anyone know a reliable site that'll do this?
try mec.ca they will ship oversea and are very good to deal with. Don't forget to get extra fuel bottles you will need them. | 1
nwdiver, why will I need extra bottles? | 2
Because one pint lasts about 3.5 days of 3 meals a day for 2 people(more or less) unless you plan to have fuel close by (I wouldn't carry a plastic bottle of fuel in my pack I carry only the fuel bottles), also the bottles once used are hard to get on an airplane. Some people find if you clean them very well and fill with water then carry them on they can travel with them, any fuel smell and they stay behind. I find carrying new ones on a plane with water prevents my gear being pulled apart after an x-ray as they wonder what those cylinders are. | 3
