hallo,
What is the weather like on the trek to Annapurna Base camp in March /April.
Is the sky clear so that I can see the summits.
What is the best period to do this trek?
Thx for info

I did the Annapurna in 2001 in April and May and the weather was beautiful. At lower elevations it rained some in the afternoon but at higher elevations it was magnificient.

When I did that trek in March 1997 (I know... a really long time ago) the mornings were spectacularly clear and the afternoons would often (not always) cloud over. Make a really early morning start when you're crossing the avalanche chutes as you approach Macchapuchre Base Camp. Most people on the trail were up around 5-6:00 am and in bed by 7:30-8:00 pm. Sounds unreal in day-to-day life but is quite an interesting shift once you get going.

DEAR VARO 1
NAMASTE
YOU PROBABLY KNOW MY EXPERIENCE IN THE FIELD OF TREKKING TOURISM FROM THE ABOVE DESCRPTION.
AS PER MY EXPERIENCE - MARCH/APRIL IS NOT SUITABVLE FOR TREKKNG IN THE ANNAPURNA BASE CAMP (SANCTUARY) BECUASE DURING THAT TIME SNOW AVALANCES ARE
IN FULL SWING TO SWIP YOU AWAY. THEREFORE, I RECOMMEND THAT YOU BETTER CHOOSE EITHER LANGTANG OR EVEREST FOR THAT PERIOD OF YOURS.
I KNOW YOU MAY HAVE BEEN FEED BACK BY OTHER AGENCIES BUT SINCE MOUNTAINEERING/TREKKING ARE MOSTLY BASED ON THE EXPERIENCE I HOPE YOU WILL NOT HESITATE TO ASK MY WHY??
BUT, STILL THE RISK IS IN YOUR WALLET.

# 3 is interesting.
Most routes into the Sanctuary have relatively little avalanche danger, but it is good to be cautious in the spring. Otherwise at the lower elevations (because this trek covers a wide variety of topography), this is the "flower" season, and as long as you are not allergic to Rhododenron flowers it can be an awesome time to go. The weather is not quite as stable as in Autumn trekking season, but still reasonably good and far less crowded on this popular trek.
Personally I like it better in this area at this time of year.
