Time is short as my departure time nears, but I wished to share a little of my impending journeys. Taken from the profile on my travel blog:
"I am embarking upon a series of journeys, which will involve a decent amount of walking. I shall be undertaking the first one on the 10th December 2004, and shall walk some 400-450km (250-280 miles) from Wollongong New South Wales to Eden NSW, Australia.
This first journey is being undertaken in order to gain support, funding and/or sponsorship for my dream journey, which is to walk from Los Angeles California to Phoenix Arizona. That is a walk of approximately 700km, or 440 miles.
I walk for many reasons, the main one being to share tales of Truth, Love and Courage. I want to share good news stories to help inspire others, as they have inspired me.
Why Phoenix? Well besides the Phoenix being a symbol of rebirth, which is something fundamental to my journeys, the reason is because I wish to walk into the arms of the girl I love. Most people I have met enjoy a good romantic tale, even the most stoic of men, and I will share every step of this journey in good time. For reasons I shall not disclose, the love story aspect of this journey shall remain anonymous for now.
So pull up a seat, and enjoy the tale of my journey to find and share the magic in this world."
