Uttarakhand in May / June

Hi all,

I'm considering planning a month in Uttarakhand for hiking from early May to early June. Is this a good time of the year for clear mountain views, weather and no floodings? I could postpone to mid September to mid October as I've been told that's good timing, but then I would have to postpone for at least a year.

Any advice is welcome!

Early May to early June should be OK if you do not plan to go higher than 3500 m (some high passes can still be covered with snow)

Views are better in the winter.
A major problem for this period is that it is the very high season for Indian tourists, so expect high prices and full hotels.
