trekking Lake Rara/Dopla circuit in nepalese winter

Hi!
I am looking at trekking lake Rara anytime in december through to mid february and am wondering if this is possible due to lodge openings, access, porters etc.
Also is this trek possible to do without a tour company?

Well, it is in OPEN zone so it's authorized to do it without a tour company. If you're inexperienced, it is much more difficult to oragnize it on your own than other treks.
