Hello,
I'm desperately looking for a guidebook on a subject of transeuropean long distance hiking path, "E1" (goes from Norway to Italy).
So far, I've managed to find a book in German, by Arthur Krause, called "EuropÃischer Fernwanderweg E1".
Can anyone please direct me to a similar book in English?

I doubt that one exists.
You might want to look up an Italian website that has a 'roadbook' of the Italian section of the E1 trail. It is in Italian, but the text is very limited and signs and symbols are self-explanatory. If you are planning to hike it, it could be of help: http://www.enrosadira.it/e1/index.html

Do you really intend to hike from Scandinavia up to Calabria? If not, look for guidebooks just for the legs you are interested in.
