I am going to be in NZ for a while, and would like to continue my climbing while there, quite casually. I was wondering if there are many sport routes outdoors (bolted routes), as I despise trad climbing. Is it worth taking my shoes/harness or are there no bolted routes outdoors in NZ?

Can anyone suggest some good bolted crags anywhere in NZ, and how I could go about getting a climbing buddy whilst away?

Thanks!

There is an awful lot of information on that website (and linked websites from it), so I shall have a look now. It's a great starting point. Thanks!

No worries mate - get used to hearing and saying that while you're in NZ :)

I'm in NZ right now for a few more weeks - let me know if theres anything else I can help you out with?

Cheers.

Thanks for that!

I use it a lot in the UK so I will be used to it. I wasn't used to hearing a 'lot of things' described as heaps, as I heard a lot in Australia though!
