Hello everybody.

My cousin is going to do trekking to Everest Base Camp end of Oct, and hope to get some current weather condition and information along the trekking route. Is the current weather suitable for trekking? Because just know about the snowstorm at ABC. Thank you.

October and November are considered two of the best months to be in Nepal Trekking - it is known as the "Peak Season" because of this.

The recent weather that blew through India, Japan and Nepal is reported to be unseasonal and a "Freakish" event.
No one can tell you that this will not happen during these months on the EBC route, but a repeat of this is highly unlikely.

Be prepared, pack accordingly for all weather conditions expected for high altitude trekking.

What chilipepper21 said.

See this for an excellent account of the clothing layer system. I would recommend the "Winter Wanderings" variant for general trekking. I prefer a synthetic for the base layer but it is a matter of personal preference.
