Is there an extensive rockclimbing area in India? I am looking for a spot with many bolted routes in the intermediate range (5.10sh).

I don't have details but I know of people who went climbing around Bangalore. There was enough interest in it that there used to be a small dedicated group and a couple of clubs. I'll see if i can find out more. Stay tuned.

There are pretty good climbing spots around Bangalore in South India. Ramnagaram, Turhalli are some of the few. Easily accessible by road, these places have bolted routes too. Check out in rockclimbing.com for some more details.
