is anyone planning to go trekking in Phu Hin Bun NPA near Tha Khaek (Tham Kong Lo cave) in the next couple of days?
I would really love to go, but they only lower prices when several people are on the trek, and currently 1.2M Kip is out of my reach!
Please let me know if you're around and want to get some trekking done :)

Would've joined you but I'm over a month too late..
Can I ask you what you did in the end? I want to do a trek in the area but I also can't afford 600k Kip I'm wondering if there's a cheaper option meaning other agencies offering more or less the same for around 20$ a day...

In the end I didn't go trekking (no one showed up while I was there...). However, I rented a motorbike (you can learn to manage those gears in about 5minutes) for one day, and went east: very nice scenery, nice caves, swimming spots. It's part of the "Loop" you'll be hearing everyone talk about; I just came back the same way I came. I don't know how the rest of the loop is like, but if it's like that section, then I certainly recommend you go for it!
Also depends on how much time you want to spend...
