Hi, it looks as though the only way I'll be able to get into Tibet is if I can locate 4 others of my nationality to join me. I arrive in Katmandu, Sept 30th. Doing a trek until the 13th of October, spend a few days in and around Katmandu and then meet with other Canadians to go to Llasa city for approx. week.
Anyone interested,available?

The opinon on the permit thread seems to be that Tibet will be closed for October.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

It is not confirmed that Tibet will be closed in Oct. Peoples who applied permit an advance got for mid Oct as well. Hard to tell for those who are applying new.

You are right Hemanta, there is no confirmation of closure. But there never is. That prebooked groups may be let in allowss the Chinese to maintain the pretence that Tibet is open.

Good luck to the OP but plan B might be a good idea.
