Cerro Mercenario

I was also going to climb Mercendario in December, but had to drop out. My friends are still going. They are not going on a guided tour; just a few climbers getting together for the climb. Hi Scott, I contacted them, Im fact, Im probably one of the ones "getting my affairs in order". However, it seems Mercedario is a bit too technical for my abbilities right now... :-(

Did you get in touch with Anibal about other possibilities on Mercedario and the surrounding area?

An alternative could be Volcan Tupungato 6,550m , relatively straight forward and fairly easy to arrange logistical support..
