Hi all!

My husband and I are visiting Cala Gonone in Sept/Oct for 10 days of climbing, relaxing and visiting the many caves etc

We would love any advice about the area including but not limited to the climbing scene.

Our main concern at the moment however is how to get from Olbia airport to the hotel without spending £300-£400 on transfers!
As well as being able to pack quickdraws, rope, harnesses etc!

Thank you!
SJ

Hiya Giggles. I had 10 day's in Cala Gonone in May this year with my caving club. There are a few pic's on our website (southsea cavers. org.). Really liked the place. The cave's are exceptional, really beautiful decorations. There are some good walk's in the area, in particular the route to Cala Luna which follow's a limestone gorge that is very popular with climber's. We hired car's on arrival and i would recommend that you do too if possible as Cala gonone is quite isolated, the main cave system's ( Su palu and Su bentu) are a good hour's drive away. If you would like more specific info anything i will do my best to help.
