Your route seems reasonable to me given the short time that you have available. Your day four will be a major effort but it will be doable if you are all in good shape. The trail is easy all the way and obvious to follow. Regarding weather, it can be anything from hot to snow with rain a possibility. During thunderstorms you should stay off exposed areas. Normal walking clothes will do - layers/windproofs/waterproofs/wooly hats/etc.

I do not know of any company that will transfer bags for isolated days. They generally want to do it for the whole thing. Try emailing your accommodation and asking them if they can arrange something.

You may use the bus from Visaille to Courmayeur too.
If you have time, the detour via Mont Fortin gives much better panoramic views to Mont Blanc and Rutor Glacier. The trail from Mont Fortin to Checrouit is much more scenic than the trail down in Val Veny.
Change at Som la Proz for Lac Champex. Or sleep at Orsieres, so you can leave Ferret 1 hr later.
If you sleep at Col de la Forclaz instead of Trient, you need not go down to Trient, but can follow the water channel up to Chalet du Glacier and aproach Col de Balme from there via Les Grands.
The Col de Balme - Le Tour gondola runs until Sept 21st at 16.45.
