Arizona Trail In Summer

As a challenge a frined of mine suggested we hike the entire 800 mile Arizona Trail (Mexico to Utah) over three months in Spring/Summer 2005. I've hiked in Arizona before, but nothing like as long as this. Is the idea just crazy or is it workable? Anyone out there got any onfo on the Trail itself?

I already posted on the USA branch but would add that 3 months should be more than enough time. Your choice of seasons is poor, though, as has been said repeatedly on the other post. Where and when have you hiked in Arizona before?
