Hi All,
We (4 Australians) are planning to walk part of the Alta via 2 in the dolomites in August. Have you done it? Can you comment on our plan to walk the following, in particular if any of the walking days seem impossibly long to you:
Night 1 Schlüter hut (aka Genova hut)
Night 2 Puez hut
Night 3 Piz Boe hut – I have read that it's better to be on the summit after the cable car day trippers have left, rather than there with them the next morning. Right?
Night 4 Castiglioni mountain hut on the Marmolada, or similar (there are a few near each-other, and one a bit higher up)
Night 5 Passo di San Pellegrino
(Next day, transport onward somehow)
We welcome tips, corrections recommendations or warnings!
