My friend's digital camera (4 year old sony cybershot 5mgpixels DSC-T1) is all funny :
I fear the worst : might be dead.

images on screen appears all blurred (like waves) and when downloaded on computer, they are still unclear and every detail is outlined in green or red.

He hardly uses his camera.

I was considering buying a digital Canon G7 but considering that I put my cameras through a lot of stress (dust and dampness)... I can't invest 700 euros in sthg that won't last.

• I am sent an email with attachment. Database type info from a Proprietary Program that I do not have on my computer.
  
  - If I downloaded it and save it on my hard drive (PC Windows), and I later attached it to an email and sent it off to someone with the Program, would they be able to open it? Or would my computer mess it up?
  
  - Is it better to forward the original email and attachment instead?

so, i am planning a trip to the middle east and i am thinking of buying a new camera. i have a film camera that takes really great pictures and i have always been impressed with the quality (not an SLR but still a good one). i have never really been too impressed with most moderately priced digital cameras and the photos they produce when printed. BUT the other day i saw some photos that a friend of mine took with a canon rebel xti or it could have been the XT (i think thats the proper title)…

Has anyone used Pass2Go by RoboForm for accessing bank accounts on public computers? It’s a program on a flash drive I recently bought that says it makes it safe to use public computers and leave no trace of the activity.

I'm behind the times so I know nothing about wireless access. I was thinking of bring my laptop with me when I travel for the first time. How secure are wireless internet connection in hotels and other places? Would it be stupid to access my online banking sites? What do I need to do to protect my computer?

Can anyone recommend software (preferably free) which will permanently erase unwanted files from my hard drive?

Right, so I ordered the camera at Amazon.uk and was going to order the card there, too, to save shipping fees. However it said "usually despatched in 1-3 weeks. I can't wait that long because I'm going on holiday next week, so where in the UK should I order?

And what other accessories, other than a bag/case do I need / do you recommend?

Not me (yet, I hope) but the computer.

I frequently have to resubmit my password for sites that I visit each day. I can be logged on one day and the next day when I attempt to log in again I find that I have to reenter my username/password.

Is this something that the site is doing or is it my computer/FireFox? If FF is there someway that I can treat this condition?

(I'm guessing site as some sites seem to be worse than others. Often with the Pentax forums, seldom with DPReview.)
