i would like to get a olympus stylus 770 digital camera. Would the camera be cheaper to buy in china, japan or USA? I know the cheapest i saw it for was 300 usd on an american website. How much would it cost in japan and china?

Generally the US has the lowest prices in the world on electronics and cameras.

You can sometimes buy newer toys in Japan that haven't been released elsewhere yet, but they're expensive, and of course the warranty is no good internationally.

Never saw any great deals in China.

I'd say the states, as I've been currently looking at prices to maybe get another while here. PLUS, if you're good at haggling, you can haggle even more off the price, even at big brand stores (not sure if you can do this online though? might call them if you can't be in person).

And, if you are buying online, many places will give you free s/h if you ask for it as they want your business. The biggest issue, as above, is the warranty is useless...

If you can buy it in the U.S. and are able to shop around online (Pricegrabber, et al.) beforehand, do it and know that you won't find it any cheaper anywhere else on Earth.
