nowadays it seems many travelers have a blog or website the update during their longer travels.
i have a website (www.livelifexplore.com) and am about to embark on a 3 month bike tour, i'd like to do the same but i'm wondering how people do their updates when on the road? whats the best way?
i use yahoo site builder to keep my pages up to date and i think it will be a pain to do so while on the road.
what do you do?

You could use an FTP program like Portable Filezilla...

yup, FTP is a way of doing it but do you how to 'do it' with yahoo site builder?

Some sites allow you to email updates - I know flickr lets you. As for how you do that in Yahoo Site Builder no idea ;)

I was planning to just leave a link on my site to my Blogger account while I'm on the road and update from time to time in a cyber cafe. I really can't be bothered lugging a laptop around the sorts of places I like to visit. A camera is the only equipment I want on hand.

What a dork, couldn't even put the HTML links in properly!

I'll check out your site anyway.

I travel with a memory stick, lots of different software on it such as Firefox, Thunderbird, Portable Skype and also some of the software that I can use for creating my website on the go such as: AceHTML, FileZilla, Fireworks and Easy Thumbnails.

The only drawback is that each blog usually takes me around 3 hours to publish (have to write the blog, select photos, resize them and finally upload it all) and so internet costs are getting quite high. I've been thinking about getting a small used laptop to bring along for my travels, easier to create my blogs and it won't matter too much if it gets stolen or breaks on me.
