virus on a memory card

Question 1 - do you have a Mac or a Windows computer?

Yes. The camera tells me that there are 5 pictures left to be taken on the memory card. That tells me that the camera "thinks" that the other space on the memory card is already taken up with something. So, I tell myself that "something" (a virus???) is fooling the camera into thinking that the rest of the memory card already has something saved to it. But, what is that "something"? Some sort of virus I assume. That "something" seems to be telling the camera that the memory space is taken up, and the camera has been fooled into believing it. However, when in a pc, the memory card is coming up as being empty. If I take the 5 pictures, they will show up in a pc.

Plus, I downloaded a basic version of cardrecovery.com. After doing that, I could see the pictures (but not the videos). However, cardrecovery's software doesn't allow me to save those pictures.

handsheldhigh: I've been wondering about that. I have a pc with Windows 7 home premium here. I'm tempted to go to an Apple store and put the memory card in one of their Mac's. What do you think?

Has anyone any experience of Maywarebytes.com. Any opinions please?
