An iphone5 is a crazy thing to travel with. They cost $600 and you'l have to be on the alert for someone stealing it.

Get a used older iPhone, the iPhone 4's go for $200 now.

Then get a cheap laptop. I don't like tablet cuz you can't really write on them. You need a good keyboard for writing your journal....don't pretend you can peck it on a smartphone screen.

You might be able to sell those b4 you come back home for more than you paid too as eleectronics cost more abroad than at home
