Hey y'all.

I'm taking a six-month trip to Europe starting this June. I'll be bringing my iPhone with me. For a portion of time I'll be backpacking through the Alps. However, I won't be spending too much time away from civilization - do you think a solar charger is necessary? I was looking into them because I was worried available outlets might be sparse (I don't know how protective cafe owners are over their electricity).

Thanks.

How on earth - years ago, did we all manage to backpack without our i-phone and solar charger?
I often wonder nowadays how I ever got through it all.

I often ask myself the same question. :)

Glad it's not just me - then.... Phew ! !

I doubt you'll get much mobile reception in areas without electric outlets anyway...

I'd be interested in the same. I bought one for an upcoming trip to Turkey ($10 on dailysteals), and so far it doesn't seem to be working. I even broke out the DMM and soldering iron.
