Hiya, I'm going to Singapore and Hong Kong and could really use a new mobile phone and a laptop. I'm from Eastern Europe but live in London. I've never bought stuff like this abroad - could anyone tell me if it's worth buying and if I could use it without any problems back at home an the U.K.. I know nothing about the stuff so hopefully somebebody here knows :-) Thanks.

Yes you can use it in the UK.

As a choice between Singapore and HK, I'd go for HK as I've bought several phones from there which were perfectly OK, whereas I bought one dodgy one in Singapore.

If in HK, you may like to do a post on the Nth East Asia branch for shop recommendations.
