Hello,

I hope this message finds everyone well! I am planning a trip to the Seychelles, solo for several weeks (hey, I can't wait around forever for a man to take me!) Anyway, I need to keep in touch with several clients while I am on the islands, and I'm wondering what the most cost-friendly way to do this is? I will have an un-locked US cell phone in hand upon arrival, and I'm aware that I can purchase a Seychelles SIM card at the airport... but what then?

I'd like to be able to find an international calling card from the Seychelles to the US for at least as low as 20 cents a minute. I was able to find much cheaper while traveling in the past, but for some reason, I'm only finding cards that charge 1-2 dollars per minute.

I would very much appreciate any insights! Kindly,

Jaclyn

If you will be staying at your hotel with free WiFi access you can just Skype call them with your cellphone without data costs provided you load your account with credit. Any leftover money can be used next time back home or when you go overseas.

You could keep your current no. if you want them to contact you on the same no. but be aware of the receiving calls roaming charge.

Check the Skype site for their minute call rates.

To prevent data costs, just turn off data - you can still make and receive voice calls and text messages etc. and get online with WiFi and surf the net and everything.
