When you say "downloading from YouTibe" , do you mean extract videos ? . www.connectfiles.com is another way , you just paste in the URL of the video you want and it converts it into whatever file format you want and when its ready it gives you a link to click on then then you get it.

I don't know. As far as I understand and I am happy to be corrected if there is information on the web and I locate this and get it stored on my laptop this is downloading.

You are downloading everytime you watch a YouTube video . In some countries which have data limits you can end up going over your limits if you watch too many videos.
Yes if you keep and store a video on your computer thats 'extracting' it.

By the way that convertfiles site stores your video for 24 hours after it has extracted and converted it into the file format you selected - .
