| chez416:00 UTC20 Mar 2007 | Hi all! I am about to embark on a prolonged(hopefully years) backpacking trip and want to set up an online journal that is for my own private ramblings, not a weblog, rather than writing a traditional diary by hand. I will set up a weblog so friends can get more palatable and succinct versions of my trip, but I want an online diary. I could of course just write entries into Word or something, but I don't want to carry it around on a memory stick that i could lose. I've done a google search and there are just so many I don't know where to start.
Anyone have any good recommendations that they have used? Preferably free and secure, and random others can't view? Ta muchly!

Best of luck on your trip!

You could use webtravellog.com
It has a secured area (128-bit SSL) where you can store any document you want.
And it is more geared toward somebody "not at home" than many others.
