Samsung will be shipping a 64 gig "solid state hard drive" later this year.

Think great big flash card that can be plugged into your PHD case. No altitude problems. No crashed disk problems.

I'd expect someone to release a USB 2.0 connectible device so that you didn't need to take your card out of the camera.

yup and 32gb ssd's are already shipping - they're a bit pricy though.

no point in a usb connectable though with current cameras at least - usb otg only supports 1.1 transfer rates, so you'll cripple it if you do it that way...
