I was going to purchase a Macbook but a few people said to wait until the first weekend in June because Apple was announcing some new upgraded laptop or something. I have been on their website and I can't find anything about it. Does anyone know what this is all about? or when it is supposed to happen?

I would wait. The last upgrade (last week) wasn't really all that a big of an upgrade. From what I've heard the new apple will come with the latest intel cpu (which is supposed to be quite good) and lcd blacklight, whatever that may be. So if you don't really need one yet I would wait.

Apple just upgraded the macbooks, with pretty much just speedbumps IIRC a few weeks ago. Rumor has it that the Macbook pros will be upgraded soon. I doubt that the macbooks will be upgraded for a few months, since they just did it.

BUT, WWDC is right around the corner. Steve Jobs will give the keynote on June 11th. If you don't NEED the laptop right now, I'd wait untl then as steve has been known to pull stuff out of the hat at these keynotes. If nothing happens then, I"d just go ahead & order. Most of the other rumors are just too unpredictable.

Thanks. I will wait until after the 11th.

Yeah, all the rumours are for MacBook Pro updates.

If you can, wait until after the Keynote Speech at MacWorld otherwise I think you are fairly safe buying a MacBook at this point.

They are great machines.

Monique, I agree with what has been said above. If you do get a Mac, dont be afraid to ask me any questions.

Two weeks after you buy your computer, no matter when that is.
