Getty ask exclusive rights as well, you would not be allowed to sell images any where else.
But that's besides the point, important is that microstock do have quite strict quality control as well, at least the one I tried once; so even there the casual snap with a point and shoot will not be accepted.

The big agencies like Getty & Corbis don't really accept images shot on point and shoot cameras but I actually submit to a new site called www.pocketstock.com. (Very apt for TRRK who wants to make some 'pocket money'!). Anyway, the reason I upload my material there is that they accept images shot on mobile phones and pocket cameras as long as they're 5MP+.

I actually came across them because I was looking for some tips and they've got this tutorial video which I also found really helpful:

As tools4fools says though - there's no point just sending in hundreds of photographs of sunsets. They have to be photos that the agency can sell.
