What is the cheapest digital camera (>3 MP) and laptop (not the silly MIT labs one) available?

Very much depends on where you're buying them, whether it's new, and whether quality is important.

I want to buy new ones in India or get them from other countries by post and quality is very important.

OK, cheapest viable 3MP+ camera in the UK: Pentax Optio 33L (50GBP inc tax)
Cheapest viable laptop: Lenovo C200 (330GBP inc)

Neither are brilliant products, but they're from reputable manufacturers, via reputable sellers, and they are cheap - personally I wouldn't buy either, but...

If you asked me what I'd buy, the cheapest I'd take would be:
Fuji Finepix F31fd (150GBP inc tax) - excellent image quality, fast.
Sony Vaio N21E (555GBP inc tax) - core2, sony.

It's worth noting that the UK is probably the most expensive place on the planet to buy anything... The USA is usually much cheaper, HK and Singapore might turn up some good buys too.

Lan, you can get the F31fd for a little over 100 GBP (including tax) in the US right now. Ouch!

As a consumer, sometimes you have to love the land of Wal-Marts...

Cheers,
Terry

Terry: Why am I not surprised. Still, it's not as bad as the Adobe online store. That one really irritates me. PS CS3 Extended = 999USD when downloaded from the US store, when you click the UK widget the price goes to 913.55GBP - or 1818.33 USD at current exchange rates. I have bad news for them, I'm not that stupid ;) I could fly to the US, buy Photoshop and still have enough pocket change to buy a cheap dSLR for the same kind of money they're expecting!

Cropduster: Is it in stock though?
