If you down load a multidisc audio book, how do you prevent itunes from switching the order of the discs.

ie, disc 10 is now after disc 1

rename the discs. name them 01, 02, 03, 04 etc until you get to ten. the program reads them like 10 is an extension of 1.

Another trick you can use is to organize them by date imported. As long as you import the CD's in the correct order, this will keep the files in the right order.

When I import audiobook Cd's into itunes, I like to create a smart playlist, using the criteria of Artist is (author's name), Album is (book name) & playcount is 0. I also enable live updating. This way, as each track is played, it is deleted from the playlist, so that each time you listen to the audiobook, you are right at the correct portion of the book & don't need to scroll down. I also like to import my audiobooks as aac files as these files allow you to bookmark them (so it remembers where you left off last time. mp3's don't allow you to do this, IIRC)
