I am going back to China in a few days. Last time I traveled I had to find a way of how to access Facebook in China. This time I found this blog post on how to unblock and access Facebook, as well as my other social media and YouTube. Is there anyone in China now who is using Securitales? Can you please let me know how it works? The free trial worked very well. Thanks.
I would guess it's a vpn network.
I don't know if it will work but I use expat shield, a free vpn programme which gives me a British internet address.

How to access Facebook in China Is a very informative blog post, glad you shared it, thanks. I just used the free trial offered and it worked to unblock Facebook. They say that it unblocks Youtube as well, which is a bonus, so that will be great.
The post you linked is from 2010! it will probably still work, but I never recommend paid vpn's to anyone. Not when you can get access to all the site you want in China for free!
I currently live in China and have spent a lot of time researching this issue. The best solution I've found is to set up your own free proxy on Googles servers. I've written a guide telling you how to set it up here http://mrjetlee.com/facebook-from-china/ and there's a video teaching how to set it up here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qqlmX0ws-1s

I was in China many times and I have used a lot os software to have access to facebook ( yes I"m a facebook addict^^) but a lot of VPN are very expensive and not always easy to use, so I really advise you to use safer vpn, it's simple and cheaper and it really works : http://safervpn.com</strong>/ ! You can also reach each website all over the world !
Enjoy your freedom !

That's right, many people in China are using facebook in that way. Several days ago I stumbled over some facts about social media websites in China. I exspected to see the usual ones like Qzone and Tencent among them but now facebook. However, fb was listed there with half a million registered users. So that's quite a lot and I think the number might be even bigger.

You can try the tips written up in this blog post which explain how to access Facebook in China. It's impossible to unblock Facebook without some kind of service. The free trade zone in Shanghai was going to be Facebook friendly, however that's off the chapter now as well.

I havent left to China as of yet, however I am trying to figure out what service to use to access Facebook in China once I arrive. I have googled and searched and just found this post that recommends a service as well as a packing list. Both helpful to me!
