Hi to all.
About to buy a netbook to take with me on my trips.
Many netbook reviewers say that is better a netbook with a matte finish display more suitable to use outdoor but the thing is that the netbook I like to purchase have a glossy one.
Is that screen factor so decisive once on the way traveling.
Thanks.

If you're referring to the glare.......perhaps buy a anti-glare film to place over the screen.

I have a glossy screen and, in my opinion, I've never really noticed the glare, probably because I'm more focussed on what is happening on the screen I guess.

Obviously if you have the sun behind you, you can't see a thing, but I just move or adjust my position or the screen until it suits me.

I have a netbook with a glossy screen - yeas, hard to see in direct sunlight so I just move elsewhere.
I also have a large laptop that has a matte screen. Better in the sun.

I would not let the screen be the deciding factor. For me it's about the durability of the unit. As you will be travelling it will get knocked about as you carry it with you on your person/in your backpack etc. Find one that is well made and with antishock hard drive mounting, or, like mine, I chose SSD hard drives with no moving parts so eliminate problems with hard disk crash if the unit gets knocked about.

For what it's worth...

Good luck.
