How difficult should this be?
Not very, according to NetFirms
However, three weeks on, they're still unable to send email to Outlook (though it's possible to collect email from their web-mail service)
Spent an hour on the phone to the ISP, who're convinced NetFirms pop server is the problem
Would it be better to just take the domain name & email addresses and host them elsewhere? How difficult is this?

Who is your domain name registered with?
The process of moving your domain to point to another hosting company's servers is:
login to your domain name control panel
change the DNS (domain name server) settings to point to the new hosting company's servers (e.g., ns1.example.com and ns1.example.com -- your company will tell you the exact settings)
* wait up to 72 hours
If your domain is registered with NetFirms it might be more complicated. You would have to call them and ask.
Site5.com is good for hosting if you get one of their good servers. Ask specifically not to be put on one of their older servers.
