Hi there,

a few days ago I set up my Facebook account (I know everyone has had one for ages) and having just checked my profile I have seen that there is a typo in my surname.

Having thoroughly checked how to change or amend your name on Facebook, I was unable to do it and wonder if someone on here would be so kind and write down a step by step guide how to change or correct your name on facebook please.

I'm not sure, but maybe easier to delete the account and create a new one.....

Y0ou can only change the username for your personal timeline once. To change your username:
Click circle at the top right of any Facebook page and choose Account Settings
Click General in the left-hand column
Look for the setting Username and click Edit to the far right
Type your new username in the open field and click Save Changes
