Deleting cookies and browsing history in Firefox

My default browser is set to Explorer, but I have had problems with it, so I mostly use Firefox now. It has gotten slow and I would like to clear out everything to make it work better. When I go to Internet Options and set everything to clear it goes thru all the motions, but as soon as I log back on, all the old junk is right back there. I am guessing that I have to somehow specify for it to clear that browser rather than Firefox, but I dont know how to do that :(

Try using CCleaner, a free download. Do a search for it.

On the Firefox menu, have you tried selecting Tools, Options, then Privacy?

Check or uncheck the boxes as necessary. That seems to work for me.

Try deleting CACHE. That will slow you down more than History or Cookies.
