Olympus XZ -2 , has fast high quality lens , 4 x zoom and the in- camera JPEGs are also good. Its not particuarly small but it will fit in your raincoat pocket.
World Travel Dude - Good point about the size, it is close to the size of a DSLR, 5x2x3" compared to 5x4x6" on my current kit, but its also half the weight and while I could, in theory, somehow, maybe just take one lens for my DSLR... No I couldn't. I'd have to take my entire kit. HAHAHA Which brings my load up to 13x8x9" at the minimum. SO that makes the x100s MUCH smaller. :)
I've also seesawed back and forth on the x100 about a thousand times but there has been just enough negative stuff said about it, almost all of which has been fixed for the x100s, which makes it worth the added expense to me.
I LOVE the tilt screen on the Olympus. I wish the x100s had that feature, though I'll probably use the eyepiece instead, I just think it would be a bit redundant as I already own a powershot and an Olympus. Maybe I should just take those instead. I love cameras but I hate making buying choices without being able to see and test them first.
