I need new AA batteries for my digital camera. Is there a "best make"?

(I've seen an answer, I think, somewhere on this site, but can no longer get the Search function to work.)

There is a new type of NiMH AA that would be best to buy. They have a long 'shelf life' - they don't discharge as rapidly when just sitting idle and they hold their voltage better in cold conditions.

Several companies make them. Sanyo Eneloops (sp?), Rayovac Hybrids, ....

Get a low discharge type NiMH as Bob suggests, a list of them can be found here. There is a significant difference in quality between good and bad batteries, my Sanyo batteries (older non-Eneloop) discharge in a few months, my cheap 7dayshop ones are flat in a few days.
