Hi,
This might sound like a daft question but I need to know how accessible adobe reader will be in Internet cafes in south east Asia and south America?
I will need it to fill work visa forms for America and I don't really want to take my netbook with me as I leave the UK end of September and will have to email the company I will be working for documents through adobe reader.

Also I'm looking for a camera under £200 to take on my trip just something simple but half desent and ideas?

Thanks Ash

If Adobe reader is not already installed, just go to the adobe.com site and download for free.

Note that Adobe Reader does not allow you to change the PDF documents - you need Adobe Pro version at least and this product is not free.

I think there are some open source, free alternatives. Fox-it reader I believe lets you edit .pdfs. You'd want to give it a test run before you go. You could also install the program onto a flash drive and run it off that. That would mean you don't have to redownload something to open .pdfs with every time you use a new computer.

Camera suggestion would be to take a look at the Lumix compact range. Bought a zoom model back in January 2012 and haven't regretted it.

Can't remember the model number off the top of my head, but as cameras keep on evolving, it's probably already been upgraded and given a new model name or number.

Good points? Leica lenses, small size, various options available for screen/framing (I'm using the 'Zone' style screen for landscapes and cityscapes at the moment and this also came in useful whilst taking shots of a collection of classic aircraft on Tuesday) plus a steady shot function for low light/no flash photography. Have this on my DSLR too and it's a useful function to have around. Uses SD cards and battery life has been fine so far.

Remember that internet cafes in some countries can be pretty slow so having software you want to use downloaded onto a memory stick saves you wasting your time and money downloading.
