Adaptors

I know you're all far techier than I - so this is probably a simplistic question.

I'm in the UK, and travel all over the place. I have plastic adaptors, that work everywhere - but are liable to fall out of the wall if the connections are flimsy.

Do the heavier, multi-purpose adaptors work any better? Anybody have one he/she swears by?

I have ones that don't fall out of the wall. Look around a bit more.

Nope, look for a powerpoint that is in a better location. I have, however, used books and other things to prop up the universal adapter to stop it from coming loose from the wall.

Thank you - I was hoping for an alternative to the pile-of-books option. But that will have to do!
