Here's the thing.
This is my one and only shot for me to go to Europe (ticket paid). I'm from South East Asia and the ticket is so incredibly and insanely expensive(at least for me). I've read some posts and all saying one thing: Summer means expensive and lots of tourists. I have 3 weeks to spend in July and I have plan to visit:
Netherland (Maastricht, Amsterdam, Rotterdam: for North Sea Jazz Festival :-))
Germany (Cologne, Munich, Nurnberg, Freiburg)
Austria (Salzburg, Vienna)
France (Paris)
All…
Ok, listen, I have thirty five euros and an interrail global pass. I need to get from Athens to Dublin, (home) as quickly as is humanly possible. What do i do? How much is the Patra to Ital ferry, then what do I do? My bag was stolen so I really need help. Please reply fast!
Hi there, I'm trying to get from Orio al Serio to florence. We arrive at the airport at 12:40pm on a Wednesday. Can we go straight from Bergamo to Florence or do we have to go via Milan, and change there? Don't mind whether bus/train or a combo of both. As it's my first trip to italy, most scenic is preferable. Cheap is also a major consideration!
Thanks in advance.
I'm arriving in Geneva, Switzerland in late August and am looking to take a 2 day hiking trip somewhere in the Alps. I'll probably leave Geneva in the AM and go somewhere on the train- a casual hike (2-3 hrs) in the afternoon- overnight in a hostel- moderate day hike (6-8 hrs)- overnight in a hostel- return to Geneva. Not a ton of money to spend- looking for a hostel <35 CHF per night. The hikes are the most important. Awesome scenery required- sheer rock face, plunging gorges, a waterfall…
Hi all,
My friend and I are leaving for Europe in two weeks, and we just now are trying to figure out our transportation. We are confused as to what websites to use, as there are several, and whether to get a rail pass or not. I know we could figure this out with some research, and we will, but thought I'd ask experienced travellers for their advice too.
Our train travel stops are: Rome, La Spezia, Zurich, Munich, Innsbrook, Prague, and Bari to Rome (with Croatia in between). Should we get a…

Any ideas for budget luxury in both of these places?
We like beaches, small, local restaurants, quaint settings.
Thanks.
Hiya
I'm trying to find a cheap campsite in the area of Lacanau, France. Usually I book my lodgings with Hostelworld but alas they don't have anything in this area. Does anybody know a good place to stay? Any info would be most welcome.
Thank you!! xx
Does anyone have experience with this organization? For a small fee, they allow you access to a database of thousands of European campgrounds. There's no sample of how much information is provided (like cost, directions, facilities, phone numbers). Can anyone recommend a camping membership that is useful for camping travel in Europe? Also, having camped in the SW USA, I am aware of many places to camp for free. Are there such comparable areas that I should learn about? Like National…
