Hello..!

Sorry i realise this topic is anything but original, But as it's a time sensitive subject information tends to become outdated pretty quickly and therefore somewhat unrealible..

I plan on visiting Asia for 6 months but am unsure as to what my best option is regarding flights..?

I've been looking into 'round the world' tickets as well as open returns but still find myself alittle lost as to what will work out the cheapest in the end.

I aim to visit India (just a short stop) China…

Hello,

I need a prepaid money card for my trip to the states, however their seems to be mixed reviews on which one is best. Fairfx or Caxtonfx.

Having read the pro's and con's of each am still undecided.

I was planning on getting just the prepaid dollars, however both company offer an any currency option which seems more useful?

Any personal feedback of owning either would be much appreciated

Cheers.

As we all know, travelling by yourself in CostaRica is deadly stressing. We're just back from there and I found some schedules that might be interesting:
* Interbus - www.interbusonline.com - OK, right, it's not cheap, but it's fast, reliable, a/c and English speaking driver.

  • another bus company, in Ciudad Quesada, Terminal de Buses, Auto Transportes San Jose San Carlos - tel: 2460-5032
or Auto Transportes San José San Carlos, San José, Ave 7-9, calle 12 - tel: 2255-0567 / 2255-4318 /…

Hi,
I am noticing a lot of questions about how to travel cheaply, what you need to bring, the best route to take, what costs what, etc. and I think my website can help a lot of you:
http://thedromomaniac.com/
It has a ton of free info about how to find the cheapest flights, how and why to use one-way tickets for long trips, and many details about the basics for new travelers, all with an eye on keeping it as cheap as possible.

If you still need any practical info, let me know. (I think) I answer…

A great option for students with empty pockets is to check out XploreU . The company has brands pay for students to travel across the globe for 1-4 weeks volunteering and exploring the culture in return for being a brand ambassador on campus when they return. Students only have to pay the airfare from their home state to the departure city (Miami, NY, etc). It's a great concept for students and lets them give back to the community as well.

As it says above. My in-laws are here from New Zealand and plan to do a mini-tour of Europe next week on a very tight budget! It's my Father in Law's last trip as he's just been diagnosed with terminal cancer. My problem is that I have lack of time to organise this for them with a busy workload myself!

Right. The plan is for them to fly to Paris (done) and then catch a train from Paris to Bruges on Wednesday 13th July. I can't find a direct Paris/Bruges trip except for the Thalys which is…

I was wondering if there is any international hospitality exchange network similiar to Couchsurfing but giving to the traveller a more comfortable accommodation like a private room and not couch or your sleeping bags in change of a cheap price. I mean, something even slightly cheaper than hostel but with the difference you are in touch with local people and culture right like Couchsurfing.

Hi

I am looking for any advice on our travel plans and although I have visted thailand a couple of times I am new to this whole backpacking 'lifestyle'
We (me and my girlfriend) have saved around £20000 ($32000 US) . We have a 1 year time limit before we have to be in Australia from the time our visa is granted. We roughly want to do:

China (4 - 5 weeks) - missing out shanghai and hong kong
Vietnam (4 weeks)
Cambodia (3 weeks)
Laos (4 weeks)
Thailand (6 - 8 weeks) we are getting 60 day visa before
