Hi everyone!

I'm a 19 year student from the Netherlands and looking for a travel destination for in
august 2012. I would love to go to Iran, but my partens don't think it's a good idea
at the moment because of the current situation, and they advice me to go somewhere else (unfortunaly)
So now I have to skip Iran and I'm looking for a new destination.
I would love to go to a country that is little affected by mass tourism and isn't crowded with European tourist in the summer. Last year I went to…

We're getting married in Aug and althoggh the original idea was to just have a holiday a few months later we're now wondering if we should be a bit more traditional and go right after it in Aug. Thing is I just cannot think of where to go (and in my suggestions below I know I haven't considered rainy seasons etc properly yet!).

2 years ago we were in California and no matter where I look I keep coming back to there but 'im indoors thinks it's a cop-out to go to the same place.

Hi all,
I'm very new to all of this so thats why i wanted to ask you lot for help, myself and my boyfriend are thinking about doing a trip in Europe this summer around a month long. We have thought about the places we would like to see and heres what we have come up with,

Nice, Monaco
Rome
Florence
Venice
Zurich
Amsterdam
Paris

How many days would you recommend staying in each and is this maybe a bit too much for a month? We would gladly stay in hostels as our budget is limited. As we are from…

Hi people,

I've been looking at one of these new pre-paid debit cards. Has anyone got an opinion on their use for travel? or have you got better options for organising my travel money?

We're off round China, SE Asia and India this year.

thanks

Hi there!!!!

I came from Spain to Thailand some months ago with about 700eur cash in my pocket and some money in my Spanish bnk account, to survive until I could find a job and a place to live.

After working here and trying to spend as less as possible, I have stimated that by the end of February I will have around 3.500eur (partially in euro, dollars and mostly in Thai Bahts) in cash.

By then my contract is going to expire that will be the moment in which I start travelling again... across…

Apparently those of us already booked can have a free rerouting to a destination of our choice. Iran? Cambodia? That'll be a useful way of getting home!
They've literally only just switched from Stansted to Gatwick! That must've cost them a fortune!

Hi,

I really want to go on a safari holiday this year, but I don't know where to start! I'm a solo female traveller, aged 34, and I have a few 'wants' and 'don't wants' that would help make up a perfect trip.

Wants
- To find a reliable, safe group operator to book with
- To see big cats
- To balance safari time with sun worshipping on a beach (somewhere with good massages)
- To sleep in actual rooms with four walls where I'm unlikely to get eaten by a wild beast during the night

Don't wants
- To…

I had to think hard and fast where to post this - and thought as we're talking of both spending and saving our hard earned cash, this would be the place.
Recently on T.T. there have been increasing comments concerning national carriers (BA, KLM etc.) and budget airlines (Ryanair, EasyJet etc.) - both for and against all of them, regarding cost, service, reliability, timekeeping, credit/debit card - online booking fees, the difference in price for the same route - on the same day - from the same…

I shot a little video (posted in another thread further below) with a few assorted tips and tricks for people packing for a budget travel trip, and would like to do another one with some further suggestions: including getting ready for the trip, things to bring or not to bring, and especially focusing on some suggestions for saving money. Basically, ANY good ideas that aren't patently obvious, good websites, best low cost airlines, how to get a cheaper room, whatever comes to mind. Those tips…

Hello
I need some help. My boyfriend and I want to go away in March for about a month. We're hoping to have about £2500-£3000 between us. This is for EVERYTHING, flights, food, fun. If it meant our budget could only stretch to 3 weeks some where that'd be ok.

We're after somewhere warm, not rainy, with stuff to see and do. I love diving, walking, sightseeing and eating :) I'd rather not have to sleep in dorms. Air con would be amazing if it's somewhere hot.

I'm thinking white sands and crystal…
